Please find below a list of the most frequently asked questions we receive from our customers. Questions relating specifically to our elevated Virtual Tours can be found here.

Q: Who do your clients tend to be?
Our services have been used effectively by a wide range of clients from individuals and small businesses right though to large multi-national organisations. We have undertaken a wide variety of commissions across a broad range of sectors. Whatever your requirement we will be more than happy to discuss it with you. Examples of our recent work can be found in the gallery page and some client testimonials can be read here.

Q: Will it cost me a lot?
Our range of services offer an extremely efficient way to provide a unique angle on photography for marketing purposes, particularly when considered as part of the overall marketing cost. Furthermore, elevated photography offers a cost effective and viable solution to traditional aerial photography. Why not just ask us for a no obligation quote or contact us to find out more about our competitively priced services.

Q: What area do you cover?
Being based in Cheshire we are ideally situated to cover a large area efficiently and have undertaken a variety of commissions across England, Wales and Scotland. If you have a specific project overseas then we would be happy to discuss it with you.

Q: How long do I have to wait for you to come out?
Once we have discussed your requirements and received a brief then we will confirm a time and date for our visit. By giving as much notice as possible we can factor in weather conditions to ensure optimum results. We are happy to work with you to ensure your required timescale for delivery of the final product is maintained and to allow any site specific situations to be resolved before we visit thus ensuring optimum results.

Q: How soon can I have my photographs?
If you have an urgent deadline we will endeavour to deliver the work as quickly as possible. Again, by providing us with as much time as possible we can ensure that the image quality is not compromised.

Q: Do weather conditions affect your service?
Naturally our photography is best undertaken with optimum weather conditions, but the Great British climate doesn’t always oblige! Where you have an urgent deadline and the weather conditions are not perfect then the images can be enhanced as necessary. We would not undertake commissions in adverse weather conditions such as heavy rain or strong winds due to the resultant impact on the quality of the images.

Q: Are you insured?
At Altus Imaging we maintain both Employers and Public Liability Insurance policies and documentation can be provided prior to our visit where required. All employees are fully versed in the requirements of the New Roads and Streetworks Act and as such are qualified to set up on the public highway as well as on private land.

Q: What other services can you offer?
We are continually looking to develop the application of our product and add to the ever growing list of uses. Altus Imaging offers a truly unique angle with high impact results whether you require static elevated photography, 360º virtual tours or time-lapse photography. If you have a specific requirement in mind, then we would be happy to hear about it and discuss how we can help.

Q: Who owns the image rights?
Altus Imaging own the copyright of all images and our clients have license to use the image or images only for the declared use and intended application. Unless agreed in writing the client is not permitted to pass on or sell images to third parties. We retain the rights to use any images for marketing purposes, unless there is an explicit reason not to i.e. subject matter of a confidential nature.

VIRTUAL TOUR FAQs:

Q: So what IS a virtual tour?
A 'virtual tour' or '360º interactive panorama' allows the viewer to become fully immersed in a property or location. It is a fantastic way of showcasing the facilities on offer, by engaging visitor to your website and ultimately turning web visitors into clients or customers. Our tours are shot using the latest digital cameras and lenses along with specialist virtual tour equipment. The tours are then compiled to your specific requirements back at our studio prior to delivery using cutting edge virtual tour software.

Q: What are the uses for a virtual tour?
Virtual tours are now an expected feature on most websites and are a useful tool to assist in the marketing of any business. Our full screen virtual tours have been provided across a variety of sectors. By adding an aerial perspective to your virtual tour we can ensure the maximum exposure possible.

Q: In what format do you provide your virtual tours?
Our virtual tours can be provided in a variety of sizes and formats to ensure the maximum user accessibility and interaction without compromising on quality. We have refined the output of our virtual tours to ensure optimum image quality that is as accessible as possible to your website visitors. Normally we would recommend Flash based virtual tours for online use given that Flash based websites are now so prevalent with the majority of internet users already having the required plug-ins installed on their computers. We are happy to provide alternative formats where necessary so please just contact us to discuss your project.

Click here for a breif description of the formats we deliver.

Q: How is a virtual tour integrated into my website?
Before visiting your business or property to compile the virtual tour, we will discuss your output requirements with you to ensure that the resultant tours can be easily and simply integrated within your website by your existing IT or design agency.

Q: Can you host my virtual tour?
Yes, we are able to host virtual tours on our website. These can easily be linked to from your own website and the viewing window can be branded accordingly with your company logo, a link back to the page of your website and details about your business. Please contact us to find out more or discuss your project.

Q: Virtual tours must be expensive to commission?
Virtual tours are a fantastic way of providing a value for money solution to any marketing strategy – especially when considered against the cost of producing and distributing printed literature or the high costs associated with a traditional photography shoot.

Our full screen aerial virtual tours start from as little as £295 plus VAT with a variety of packages available. Once in place on a website a virtual tour is effectively an interactive shop window allowing website visitors from all over the world to see the facilities/products that your company offers.

Q: Do you just provide aerial virtual tours?
Not at all, although our aerial perspective is a great feature for external tours, we are also able to provide traditional ground based tours both internally and externally. Our portable mast also allows us to offer an elevated perspective internally for events and shows. Whatever your virtual tour requirement we will no doubt have come across it before and have a solution.
